Easter Egg Backdrop (& Mistake)

Let’s make an Easter card!

Today I used Lawn Fawn’s Easter Egg Backdrop along with their Scripty Easter and Scripty Easter Outline dies.  I also used Lawn Fawn’s Spiffier Speckles and Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 6×6 paper pads.  The backdrop die is pretty intricate so I made sure to use a metal shim when I die cut the image.  If you watch the video, you’ll see that I should have run it through my die cutting machine twice.  I had one little detail on my orange egg that tore when I was getting the little pieces out.  But I pivoted…I cut the pieces off and I really don’t think my recipient will notice.  After I die cut the backdrop, I also die cut all my eggs, flowers and leaves.  A fine tip glue bottle will be your best friend when you glue all your little pieces.  I was super careful and just added little dots of glue to the back to hold all my pieces in place.  I found a Happy sentiment in my stash and white heat embossed that on black cardstock.  For the Easter sentiment, I cut the outline from the left over center piece of the Spiffier Speckles paper and then cut the Easter from three pieces of white cardstock and one from a pink from the Watercolor Wishes Rainbow pack.  I added some Pinkfresh Studio gems and this adorable card is finished!  I didn’t use a lot of different supplies and embellishments on this card because I really didn’t need extra items.  Lawn Fawn makes this kind of card easy peasy.  You can watch me create this card here.  Thank you for stopping by!
