Today, I am sharing a card I created using Concord & 9th’s Nutcracker Dies. I know, I know…it’s a little early for Christmas cards…but we need to get started now with just a few here and there so we can be ahead of the game when the time comes to send them out. I loved watching the nutcracker come to life as I assembled him. The hardest part was deciding what colors I wanted to use. And of course, I had to make it a little more time consuming by giving him inlaid eyes, eyebrows and mustache. This step really wasn’t necessary, but I think it really added extra character to him. For my layering piece I used the oval dies that came with the die set. For my background I used Spellbinders Sparkling Snow 3D Embossing folder. I love the texture you get with 3D embossing folders. I also used the greenery, holly leaves and berry dies included in the set. I added some gold pearls, and this card was done! It turned out so cute!
