Birthday, Everyday

Big Pickup Tailgate

I was in need of a couple masculine type birthday cards so I decided to pull out my Big Pickup Tailgate stamp, stencil and die set from Honey Bee Stamps. The card we made today came out so cute! I just love a shaped card! In my video we made the green tailgate card, but I am also sharing some in other colors.  I first stamped my image with Honey Bee Stamps Intense Black ink as it is copic marker friendly.  I selected my copic colors and got to coloring.  These are larger sections that you’ll be coloring, so it’s very important that your copics have plenty of ink in them so your colors blend well.  After I was done coloring and stenciling, I put my image back in my Misti so I could restamp with Versafine, and then added clear embossing powder and heat set.  This step really makes your image pop.  I die cut my truck along with my card base and was ready to add my sentiment and gems.  I used Honey Bee Stamps Tailgate Alphabet for my HBD2U.  This is a great alphabet set to have in your stash!  I cut my letters from black cardstock 4 times and then stacked them.  Since this is a simpler card, I wanted to make sure I had lots of dimension.  I forgot to show it in my video, but I also added white gel pen details when I was done.  I think this came out great and I can’t wait to send it to my old grade school friend.  I think he’ll love it.  For more details, links to the products I used and to watch me create this card, you can click here. Thank you for stopping by!
