Today’s card features Day 9 from Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas. I really liked the cupcake and decided to make another alternate card with a non holiday theme. Once I decided on what color I wanted my cupcake wrapper to be, I die cut all my images. I already knew I wanted a white cake with chocolate frosting! I excluded the two leafy dies. I cut my berries from Cosmic Sky cardstock, gave them a little ink blending for added detail and turned them into blue berries. I used all Spellbinders cardstock. After my stitching was done, I assembled my cupcake. For my background, I hot foiled the Birthday Bash Press Plate in Cobalt Blue foil. This plate is currently half price on clearance, so make sure you grab it quickly if you are interested. My sentiment came from Spellbinders Curved Everyday Sentiment set. This set is retired, but I was able to find it for a great price on Spellbinders Amazon site. Another one to grab quickly if you are interested. I added a few pearls and this card was done. Such a cute alternate to a holiday scene. This card is on the simple side, but the foiling on the background and sentiment and then the stitching on the cupcake really adds some nice details.
