Birthday, Everyday

Floral Field

Today I am sharing a Thank You card I created for a special friend. My birthday was a few weeks ago and my friend surprised me with the Floral Field set from Pinkfresh Studio. So, of course, I had to make her a Thank You card using the set she gave me, because that’s what we do! Don’t you just love friends that support what you do? They are the best! This set would also make a great Happy Spring or Birthday card.  I started by lining my first stencil up on my grip mat with a Creative Corner from My Sweet Petunia. Using the Creative Corner insured flawless placement for each stencil. I used a lot of different ink colors for my flowers so I had to mask quite a bit, but it was so worth it! After my image was ink blended, I used the coordinating Floral Field die to cut it out and stacked it with one plain white die cut for a little stability. I cut a panel from the Nested Rectangle Postage Edge and then trimmed my floral image to fit inside the stitch marks. I added thin foam squares to this for dimension. Then I added foam tape behind my Postage Edge die cut and adhered that to my panel. I hot foiled my sentiment from the Here For You Press Plate and die sets, added a few Clear Drops in Ice and this card was done. I also shared two other layouts at the end of my video. One was a full A2 panel of the flowers and the other had a frame around the flowers. Which is your favorite layout? I like them all!
