Today I am sharing a card created using Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers Fireplace and Lovely Layers Lodge Add On set. This card does lean towards the dark side with all the brown, but I really think it works. I also brought in elements from the Lovely Layers Falloween Set and the Lovely Layers Holiday set. Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques when creating a card. To start, I die cut all my images. I added coordinating ink colors to some of my die cuts just to add extra depth. I assembled my fireplace first, then assembled all of my elements. Next, I decided how I wanted everything laid out. This is a larger card for me, as I usually only create A2 sized cards, but I knew I needed this one to be a 5×7 in order to fit everything I planned on using. I added a Happy Birthday sentiment, but this card would work wonderfully for a Father’s Day card also. I love the pillow and blanket on the rocking chair.
