Elegant Motifs

I hadn’t used Altenew products in a long time, and I was quickly reminded why I love their products so much!  You can achieve such a beautiful elegant look with very little effort.  Today I am sharing how I created these cards using Altenew’s Elegant Motifs Suite.  With the suite you get the stamp set, the dies, the stencils and the embossing folder.  I used all 4 products to make these cards, plus a few other items.  To create my florals for both, the slimline and the A2 cards, first, I heat embossed my images with Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder, but you can use any embossing powder you have on hand.  Then I stenciled my images using Pinkfresh Studio inks in Hydrangea and Olive for the purple cards, and Lemon Whip, Sweet Mustard and Olive for the yellow cards.   I added Pinkfresh Studio Clear Drops in Leaf for my jewels on all cards.

For the standard A2 sized cards, along with Altenew’s Elegant Motifs stamps, dies and stencils, I used Spellbinders Floral View Press Plate for the background, trimmed down to 4×5.25.  I letter pressed my sentiments using Pinkfresh Studio’s Favorite Things Sentiments Press Plates, coordinating dies and Olive ink.

For the slimline cards, I started with a card base sized 7.25×8.5, folded in half.  First ,I cut the white layering piece from PinkFresh Studio’s Slim Ornate Banners middle sized die.  Then I dry embossed this piece in the embossing folder.  Be sure to run this folder through your machine at an angle to reduce the risk of unnecessary creases in your paper.  These cards came together so easily and are beautiful when completed!  You can find more details in my video here.  https://youtu.be/0uycwaH__OM
