Everyday

Winter Drinks

Have you ever purchased a stamp set because you thought it was sooo cute, and then after you got it home, and looked at it for awhile, you just couldn’t figure out what to do with it?  That happened to me with this set.  I knew I loved it, but then drew a blank on what to do.  In this case, it is best to stamp all your images and just start coloring them.  Nine times out of ten, an idea will pop in your head, just like it did for me.  This stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh is named Winter Drinks, but that doesn’t mean I’m looking forward to winter.  Almost everyone loves coffee and coffee is an everyday drink, so I figured this could be an everyday card!  There is also a coordinating die set to go with the stamp set.  To start, I stamped and colored all my images, then I die cut them and it was time to work, on my background.  For my background, I brought in Stamper’s Anonymous Grunged stamp set because I knew I would be able to get faux coffee stains.  And it came out great.  I used the Mini Slimline Stitched Scalloped Rectangle from Pinkfresh Studio for my frame and then the hardest part was figuring out how to arrange my cute coffee cups.  I white heat embossed my sentiments on the same dark brown cardstock that I made my frame from.  I attached the cups with two different height foam squares to give the card a little extra dimension and personality.  Finally, I embellished with some Pacific Northwest Pearls, from Honey Bee Stamps.  I am real happy with how it came out for not really having much of an idea when I started.  You can watch me create this card here.  Thank you for stopping by!
