For my card this week, I used Catherine Pooler’s, Hearts Aflutter Hot Foil Plate, Stencil set and Die set. There is also a coordinating stamp set, with some great sentiments, but I didn’t use that this time because I love hot foiling all the things anymore. Give me a hot foil plate over a stamp any day, and I am a happy camper. This set was so easy to work with. I started by hot foiling my main heart image with gold foil and used all Pinkfresh Studio inks to stencil my very colorful heart. These bright colors make me so happy. For my background, I used Spellbinders Cross My Heart 3D embossing folder. I received this folder at an event I participated in last year, so this one is no longer available, but I was able to find one very similar if you’d like to recreate this look. My Love sentiment is from a Penny Black die set called Love & Miss You. I stacked my heart and sentiment before adhering them to my background. I wanted my sentiment and little hearts to match the colors I stenciled with, so all I did was ink blend on a small piece of cardstock with Raspberry Bliss ink and then die cut the sentiment and hearts, and as easy as that everything matched perfectly. I also added a few gold pearls to finish this card off. I can’t wait to send this card to a friend. You can watch me recreate this card here. You can also find a complete list of supplies used in the video description. Thank you for stopping by.
