Today I wanted to do more of an elegant card. I used Waffle Flower’s Poinsettia Frame Die and coordinating Coloring Stencil. I think it came out perfect. The only question is…do you prefer the white poinsettia or the traditional red poinsettia? I’m favoring the white. Just a little. I do love them both though. To start, I die cut all my images and then stenciled my leafy frame pieces with a darker green ink and then ink blended my white pieces with a light yellow ink. Next, I added my gold foil pieces and the first layer of poinsettia petals to my frames. I used a panel of Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust for my background, because well…glitter paper just makes everything better. I added my frame pieces to my background with foam strips. Then I slightly curled my 2nd layer of flower petals and adhered them with liquid glue. My sentiment came from Waffle Flower’s Merry Christmas die. I cut three from white cardstock, one from gold foil paper and stacked them. My shadow piece is die cut from vellum. This card really didn’t need any embellishments, but I added some clear drops in leaf, just because I could. It came out so pretty!
