Retro Suitcase and Sentiments

Spellbinders created the Retro Suitcase and Sentiment set I used today for Mental Health Awareness. April is Mental Health Awareness month, and they wanted to provide a collection that touches on issues that many people do not talk about enough. The entire collection is called We All Have Baggage. This set was gifted to me by Spellbinders.  I didn’t want this card to be too complicated or overwhelming but I still wanted it to be meaningful. First, I die cut all my pieces from Cascade and Truffle cardstock. Then, I ink blended on my main suitcase piece, corners and handle to give them a distressed look. Next, I ran my main suitcase piece through the Fresh Picked Floral Frame embossing folder. And then I added white ink to my embossed piece to really make the embossed flower images pop. I assembled my suitcase and then I needed to think about my sentiment. I ink blended on another piece of Cascade cardstock to make it darker and match my suitcase. Then I heat embossed my sentiment in white. I also embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Fresh Picked Floral embossing folder for my background. I trimmed this down and added a brown strip and then my sentiment. I added foam tape to both, my background panel and my suitcase. Finally, I added a few Fashion Cosmic gems for a little more interest. At the end of my video I also shared a coupe more ideas using this set. Don’t forget to check on your friends!  For more details, links to all the products I used and to watch me create these cards, you can click here. Thank you for stopping by!
